I updated, and then I turned Siri off. Because it’s silly.
The only voice commands I’ve ever used were on 10.4 Tiger and they worked like a CHARM. And you could name it ANYTHING!
My computer was Bob.
(I know it’s more of a big deal because of voice quality and more languages, etc; but all this voice command stuff is not new and it ticks me off a tiny bit when it’s treated as being groundbreaking.)

You said words, and I acknowledge that, but can we talk about the suspension on that thing?
I get it, it’s not scaled for human passengers... whatever. But why would they build a body shell that sits down lower than the upper shock mounts?? Such a compromise was made that in order to not look super-dumb, they lowered the rear wing relative to the shell, which then makes the bottom of the wing also the mount for the rear shocks. And even pretending that a person would be in there looking out the front, all that person would see is the huge structural member mounted in his line of sight. WTF? I personally think it looks dumb.

I no longer have it. It’s in many pieces, some of which were tossed out some years ago. It wasn’t a very high-quality kit.

Bummer - looks fun. I want to get a gas-powered rc buggy for my oldest before too long.

Not an expert. But RC buggys aren’t “scale” which means they are built just to go fast around a track. The body is like that for aerodynamics. I have an RC truck and in a way it really sucks compared to the buggy since the huge body acts as a crazy parachute on jumps.

Okay, so that makes some sense. Minimize the shell so that it doesn’t trap air underneath.

I’ve been wondering whether or not I wanted to go to Sierra. I’ve been having severe kernel panic issues that have lead to several clean installs this summer that eventually got me up to Yosemite (don’t think I made it all the way to El Capitan). I thought I’d traced to panics to some low-grade aftermarket ram I’d put in, but it’s out now and while I haven’t seen it panic yet, it’s derped pretty hard a couple times (leading me to force quit programs and relaunch the finder to keep the machine up), and it’s definitely rebooted itself while I was away on more than one occasion.
